📖 Our Heritage
Guru Nanak Dev Ji
Guru Nanak Dev Ji is the first Guru of Sikhs. Guru Ji taught righteousness, compassion and morality to his Sikhs. In this article, we will briefly discuss the family background of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and the three fundamentals Sikh values that Guru Ji emphasised through the stories of Guru's Puraan (Gurbani).
Guru Nanak Ji was born in Kartarpur, Talwandi. Talwandi was renamed after Him — Nankana Sahib — and is now located in Pakistan. He is also known as Sri Nankana Sahib-e-Pakistan. In the third Season of the Pakistani show Coke Studio, this was turned into a song by Miana Kailash Chand and mother was Mata Tripta Ji.
